Calistoga's unique location in Napa Valley affords you opportunities for marvelous activities to add to your winery visits. The Pacific ocean is a mere 45 minute drive via River Road. The famous wineries of not only Napa Valley, but also Sonoma, Andersen Valley, Healdsburg, Dry Creek, and the Russian River are usually no more than 35 minutes away. While in town you may wish to rent a bicycle at the Calistoga Bike Shop, and cycle to several small wineries before you enjoy a spa and relaxing massage at the Lavender Hill Spa just a few yards from the Inn. Championship golf courses are within a short auto trip. A horse back tour of the local Boothe State Park culminating in a catered "round-up" style Bar-B-Q can be arranged. Or enjoy a walk though a botanical garden at a nearby vineyard. You could even seek out a fresh seafood dinner along the Pacific coast at Bodega Bay. These and many more adventures await you in and near the Napa Valley. |
